I recently received a call from a man who wanted to look at real estate in the Myrtle Beach area. He gave me his list of "must have" so I did a search and emailed listings to him. He called me again and said for me to make sure the houses were in neighborhoods with friendly people that didn't have an attitude.
After explaining that even though I was familiar with a neighborhood I had no way of knowing the personality of the residents. I suggested that once he choose a few neighborhoods he should spend some time walking around them and introducing himself to the residents. His reaction was that he didn't want to go walking up to strangers and how dare I suggest such a thing. After he yelled, "Just forget it!" I said, "I already have" and hung up the phone.
It sounded like he was the type of person he didn't want to live near and I wouldn't want to either. People who are used to the big cities and people with attitude need to realize most people who want to retire in the Myrtle Beach area want to leave all that nonsense somewhere else.

Don't you just love people.
I know the feeling we as Realtors can only do so much good luck with your buyer.
That is horrible! You definitely did not want a client like that!
The first three comments were on my blog that somehow published while I was in the process of writing. I changed the word Rudeness to Attitude in my title after thinking of my grandchild who sometimes has a "Tude" moment.
Gee Sandy, seemed like this guy had -- A T T I T U D E!
Ha!
Last time I looked we sell houses not people. Now if he wanted to know about the houses, I am sure you could help him with that. If its the people he is interested he should find a people agent.
I would suggest a nice cave for him. Bears for neighbors!
