People ask on a regular basis about what happens when a hurricane hits the Myrtle Beach area. My reply is that with a hurricane you have advance warning usually several days. I might also mention that tornados are much more dangerous and can hit anywhere in the country.
Since I was in La Plata, Maryland when a tornado destroyed the town I have first hand knowledge of how no warning and mother natures furry can be worse then a hurricane. Today I heard that a tornado type (not confirmed as yet) storm hit New York City and various areas in Ohio. I hope everyone is safe.

A large storm hit NYC and killed someone out of the blue....you never know.
Just after your comment I also heard on TV that someone lost their life in New York City. Very sad!
